WWE NEEDS TO MAKE CUTS

  • Since Triple H has taken over as the boss of signings the WWE has gathered together quite a stacked roster in terms of talent. On the back of well known international wrestling stars CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan some of the more recent signings include well known talent Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley), Seth Rollins (Tyler Black), Antonio Cesaro (Claudio Castagnoli), Kassius Ohno (Chris Hero), Luke Harper (Brodie Lee), Xavier Woods (Consequences Creed) as well as the children of Vader and Ricky Steamboat. All this new exciting talent is in addition to some awesome new gimmicks. The buzz surrounding Husky Harris’s new gimmick Bray Wyatt is enormous as is the new gimmicks of Damien Sandow, Ryback, Johnny Curtis and many others.

The WWE have seemingly taken steps to give a home to much of this new talent with the rebranded WWE NXT program now looking more like a big budget version of FCW and it’s really good.

But for any of this talent to really make a difference the WWE is going to have to make some tough decisions so that these guys can get the exposure that they need. There is a lot of talent on TV on Raw and Smackdown that couldn’t hold a candle to some of these guys. Here is a list of the superstars that are wasting spots.

Alex Riley, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, Primo, Epico, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, JTG, Mason Ryan, The Miz, Santino Marella, Camacho, Ezekiel Jackson, The Great Khali, Jinder Mahal, Ted Dibiase, Yoshi Tatsu. I could name more but we have to keep some jobbers around. You may disagree with the list but the fact that I could see all of these guys gone from my screen and replaced by the aforementioned rookies is an indication that WWE needs a huge sweep. They failed to do their annual roster cuts after Wrestlemania this year and it shows. Maybe they are just waiting until their “network” gets off the ground or something but at the moment there is just far too much talent languishing.
